Sweet Istria Festival 2011 Best Cake
The Sweet Istria Best Cake 2011 prize was won by our Cake as Beautiful as Oil created by our house master confectioner Saša Jankovič. The cake base is composed of crumbly butter pastry made of finely chopped pistachios, pine nuts and almonds. Its traditional Istrian flavour is complemented by Bavarian lemon cream with vanilla and a disc of strawberry filling, while the epilogue of this dreamy culinary fairy tale comes in form of Vanja Dujc’s olive oil with lemon.
