Portorož is located in a peaceful corner of the bay of Piran. To its north lies a garland of small hills, all scattered with olive groves, hidden Istrian villages and vineyards. Its position is mostly sunny and there is no real winter, as autumn almost imperceptibly changes into spring. There are mild differences in temperature between one season and other.

Mild seaside climate effectively influences on the improvement of people’s psycho-physical condition and state of mind. Clean air, rich in sea minerals, mildly circulates through the atmosphere. On the seashore alone, especially when sauntering through the salt pans, we partake of a natural aerosol made up of sodium, chlorine, iodine, bromine, magnesium, silicon and ozone which is brought to us by the south winds. The natural aerosol of the seashore is mixed by the north wind (burja) with the essential oils of the coniferous trees thus combining the medicinal effects of both.

According to the International Association for Balneology the air in Portorož is pure and healthy. The climate in this region is suitable for soothing and healing chronic respiratory diseases as well as relaxation all the year round. Just take a deep breath.
