Last year Portorož Tourist Board launched a great promotion with a viral video "Jump to Portorož." The video featured more than 150 people, who shot scenes in the air, on land and under water. The video was produced in five different languages and has registered more than 200,000 views.
Based on the great experience of the last year Portorož Tourist Board in collaboration with the local tourist representatives decided to gather an international team of experts, whose task was to create a viral communication platform. This absolute innovation consists of an interactive viral application that is able to provide a true interactive online experience. The new way to promote a tourist destination in Slovenia as well as abroad was created in collaboration with AV Studio, Rem agency from Italy and the production company STVA.
The biggest progress in the communication of the campaign consists in combining the personalization and the interactivity, allowing a greater involvement of users and a spontaneous learning about the tourist destination. Users can create personalized videos by entering their name, surname, gender, e-mail address and a picture. In the following steps the application will offer on choice a favourite type of transport to the destination, accommodation, relaxation, culinary delights and entertainment. The application can produce in this way 1458 different versions of the video in four different languages and 150,000 videos per day.
