Healthy and Amusing Meals for the Youngest

We know the magic that will make your kids come to the table. At the LifeClass, healthy dishes become amusing, too.

When the child turns 1 and becomes more independent, he/she starts eating with other family members and tastes new food. At that time it is recommended to introduce him/her a myriad of flavours. A diet – which is balanced in terms of energy and nutrition and tailored to the needs of children in the phases of growth and development – is one of the most important positive factors of maintaining health. Enriching a daily diet with fruits and vegetables is crucial for good health.  They contain numerous substances that are vital for a normal growth and development, and at the same time protect against infectious diseases and a variety of chronic non-contagious diseases in the adult age. Therefore, it is very important to introduce fruits and vegetables to the child early enough in his/her life – naturally in an interesting  way.

For the youngest, our master chefs eagerly prepare small and funny, but above all healthy and local culinary masterpieces:  colourful and healthy fruit skewers, wholemeal pancakes with home-made marmalade and chocolate, wholemeal muffins, and home-made cookies with antioxidants. Sea shapes will fascinate and amuse every child as well as providing him/her with a fresh and healthy Mediterranean meal. At the family-friendly Hotel Mirna, your youngest may visit the children’s culinary corner where our master chefs will be spoiling them with truly special and diverse children's menus.

Sea Culinary Workshops with Mini-ION

Children may also develop a healthy attitude to food and eating by helping at food preparation.

Our entertainers have livened up the Mini Klub’s activities with a culinary workshop called “Mini-ION and Little Chefs”. With the help of our entertainers, your little chefs will make dough for healthy cookies with antioxidants, shape them into sea shapes with moulds, bake them under the supervision of the entertainers (to prevent any burns), and finally eat them together.

The children’s help at cooking stimulates their thinking, enriches their vocabulary, develops creativity as well as extending their mathematical knowledge. The children’s motor skills develop during kneading, mixing and shaping as they develop their gross and fine motor skills at the same time. Furthermore, measuring, cutting and pouring help develop the kids’ coordination between the eyes and muscle control. While cooking together with other children, the child also learns about team work and division of work that will be useful to him/her later in his/her life. In addition, playing with other children also broadens his/her knowledge about healthy nutrition.
