The Tartini Festival - an international festival of classical music
Slovenian Istria, 23. 8. 2014
The Tartini Festival – Piran and Slovenian Istria – is an international festival of classical music taking place at the end of August and September each year on the Slovenian coast (Piran, Izola, Koper). Last year, the festival celebrated its jubilee – its 10th anniversary.
The very name of the festival indicates that its organisers nurture the famous tradition of Tartini’s heritage intertwining it with contemporary musical approaches and musicians. They are particularly focused on presenting international top-class musicians coming from various countries. A diversity of international performers with remarkable virtuosi makes this festival particularly charming, and thrills audience year after year.
This year, we are preparing an exceptionally grand opening concert featuring the Salzburg orchestra Ensemble 1756. The festival, lasting from 23 August to 10 September, will feature over 50 international musicians and will attract around 2000 visitors.
A concert ticket costs €17, and €19 for the opening concert.
